Client ERC - How to...

How to let a support agent control your computer remotely:

  1. Get ERC-Client

ERC-Client can be provided by your support agent, already stored on your hard-disk from a previous session or can be downloaded from Inletex website at http://www.inletex.com/downloads.html.
  2. Start ERC-Client

When you have located the ERC-Client.exe file, double-click on its icon to launch it.

Once the application has started, you will see the ERC-Client interface.

  3. Adjust the Server (optional)

The support agent will tell you what is the Server to use.

If  the Default Server is not the one requested by the support agent, click on the refresh button and select the desired location.

  4. Get the session Code

The support agent he will give you a Code for the session.

To start the session, enter the Code given by the support agent and click on the Connect button.

  5. What could happend?

While starting the connection with the Server, ERC-Client may stop and report one of the following errors:

    1. You can be asked to check the code.

If that error occurs, you have made a typo, or the support agent has given you a wrong code.

    2. You can also be informed that there's no control listening.

If that error occurs, you have selected a wrong Server, or the Server is currently unavailable.

  6. Your computer is under remote control

After a short while, the support agent will be able to control your computer remotely.

To confirm this, a Close session button will be displayed on your screen and a new icon will take place in the taskbar.

  7. Close the session

To close the session, click on the Close session button that is located  at the top right corner of your computer screen.
